Delphine Daversin obtained two post graduate degrees in business law and IT/IP Law from the University of Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne (France) in 2000 and 2001 and passed the Paris Bar Exam in 2002. She has earned the ANSI-accredited designations of Certified Information Privacy  Professional –  European law (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Delphine Daversin worked as a French qualified lawyer in a Paris law firm focussing on the Media and IT industry for 5 years. She then worked for 5 years in Russia as an in-house consultant in the IT sector. In 2012, she joined a Germany head-quartered international law firm, heading their Malaysian office in Kuala Lumpur and advising European companies on their local investments. Delphine joined PPM as a senior legal consultant in 2017.

With 18 years’ experience including 11 years in a multi-cultural business environment, Delphine’s versatile profile allows PPM to consult her and leverage her experience on aspects of both legal and commercial matters. She has excellent experience in business development and outstanding business-oriented analysis.  Delphine’s sharp expertise and knowledge of IT/IP laws and data protection and privacy laws and regulations allow her to draft and negotiate a wide variety of agreements in the IT field.  In addition, she is adept at drafting legal opinions and attending to the legal aspects of due diligence investigations.  Her vast experience  includes  the  roll-out  from  end-to-end  of  complex  projects, entailing  team, schedule and budget management and client relationship management.

Delphine’s experience includes:

  • Advising international and European clients on compliance with European privacy regulations (GDPR, ePrivacy directive, etc) ;
  • In the context of the implementation of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa, she was involved, among other projects, in a compliance audit program for a large Pan-African media group, a gap analysis for a worldwide medical humanitarian NGO and the roll out of a privacy training program in an Oil &Gas company.
  • She was involved in the implementation of a privacy programme for a State Agency: this project included assisting the State Agency in reviewing, updating and drafting their privacy policies in compliance with applicable legislation (including POPIA) and existing information security policies. It also included reviewing all template contractual documentation for purposes of POPIA compliance; designing and rolling out POPIA training programme.
