During the National Assembly Trade and Industry Committee meeting in September, the committee decided to commence with the review of the Consumer Protection Act and the National Credit, after a regulatory impact assessment was done. Since the commencement of the CPA, various stakeholders have found problematic areas in both pieces of legislation. Please see the department’s briefing document for more information.
